In our house, food is love and cooking is like dancing to our favorite tunes, syncing both of our culinary styles and cultures spanning from Labadieville Louisiana, to the North West, and the world. Bella Rouge Barbeque is the product of Louisiana heart, soul, and family traditions as old as the Bayou. If our first secret ingredient is love, the second is a simmering passion for Detroit and the Mitten State! We understand that barbeque is very personal, but Bella Rouge strives to touch the tables of all regions across the country and hopes to become a “beautiful red” dinner staple for every family to share and enjoy.
We, Kathy and Brent, joined forces and melded our histories, families, passions and tastes into one home-style bottle of “beautiful red” sauce! We’ve created new savors from the old—simmering the flavors of the ever-changing world around us. Brent from the small town Labadieville, LA on the outskirts of New Orleans and Kathy from Portland, OR. Our passions for fusing unique and traditional flavors first collided in Seattle where we met, and we have since found our new home (and kitchen!) here in Detroit, MI. Our lives and sauces are infused with our pasts and the future of the Motor City – jiving to the beat of Detroit.
